The Schooner SoundWaters is an ideal platform for a science enrichment program. Share in the experience of sailing with your students as you explore the coastal habitats and water of Long Island Sound aboard the Schooner SoundWaters. Your students will work together to raise sails, haul in a trawl net, and rotate through four multidisciplinary, hands on learning stations:

• Discover Benthic Organisms
• Investigate the Human Effect on the Watershed
• Study Microscopic Plankton
• Examine Salt Marsh Ecology

A SoundWaters Educator is devoted to each of the four learning stations. This allows the teachers to observe and participate while enjoying a sail aboard the Schooner SoundWaters. All stations support and amplify your curriculum and exceed CT and NY state core curriculum guidelines.
