growing up SoundWaters!
SoundWaters is proud to announce that one of our horseshoe crabs began a new stage of its life this week!
This juvenile horseshoe crab slowly been preparing to molt during the sailing season on the Schooner SoundWaters and completed this great change in the SoundWaters aquarium last night!
In order to grow, these animals must shed their exoskeleton so if you find an empty shell on the beach, it may just be a molt, not a dead animal!
