The ratings certify that SoundWaters manages its operations and addresses its mission in the most responsible and transparent manner in an increasingly complex fiscal environment and exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its Cause.

Receiving four out of four possible stars indicates that SoundWaters adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way.  Approximately a quarter of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator receive the highest rating, indicating that SoundWaters outperforms most other charities in America.
