A year of research with King Low Heywood
On Friday, the 6th grade students of King Low Heywood collected their final data on the animals found in the rocky shore habitat of Cove Island Park! These students have been researching this habitat since the school year began, paying particular attention to the changing population of Asian Shore Crabs. Asian Shore Crabs are an invasive species that could potentially disrupt the ecosystem of Long Island Sound, making the information these students have collected very valuable. Congratulations to these students for all their hard work!
