Students who join SoundWaters Conservation Leadership Action Week will gain advanced skills in environmental stewardship as they contribute to initiatives that conserve the shoreline of Long Island Sound. Students will enjoy exploring diverse habitats, including salt marshes, oyster reefs, sandy shorelines, and a kelp farm and play a role in critical restoration efforts. This college-level program is designed to equip students with the knowledge, tools and access to Long Island Sound to build their interest in environmental science and to make a meaningful, lasting impact on their local environment. Students will receive community service volunteer credit for their efforts.
