Davenport Ridge Explores LIS!

First graders from Davenport Ridge visited SoundWaters today to begin their exploration of the Long Island Sound. These inquisitive minds learned all about the creatures of the Sound, starting from the bottom of the food chain with plankton up to the spider crabs. They also explored the sandy beach habitat and did a scavenger hunt for the shells leftover from the animals in the Sound. Despite the wind, our first graders had a fantastic time! We look forward to joining them in their classroom!
