Exploring the Sound with 6th Grade Students from Rippowam Middle School
Rippowam Middle School of Stamford, Connecticut paid a visit to SoundWaters for a day of exploring and hands-on learning. The 6th grade students performed water quality experiments, used seine nets to catch animals along the shores of Long Island Sound, learned the morphology of local live animals, including horseshoe crabs, sea stars, oyster toad fish, and explored Holly Pond by canoe.
