A Growing Aquarium!

Our SoundWaters aquarium presented us with a cool surprise this morning. After a double take we realized our male lobster (Homarus americanus) grew over the weekend! Can you identify the molt from the living lobster? If you guessed the lobster on the right, you are correct! The American Lobster has 2 different types of claws. One claw is for crushing food and one is for tearing. It takes a lobster 6-8 years to reach 1 lb!
