Christina Genz, Director of Education
Christina became the Director of Camp SoundWaters in 2014 and she is very excited to be overseeing all of SoundWaters summer programs again this year as the Director of Education. Christina works hard to make Camp SoundWaters and Young Mariners a home-away-from-home for campers. You can always find Christina at sign in greeting campers and getting them as excited as she is for the camp day!
Certified in: Safe Boating, Red Cross CPR/AED + First Aid, and Waterfront Lifeguard Certified
Kelsey Kagel, Camp Director
Kelsey has been apart of SoundWaters since 2018. Starting as an a educator/deckhand aboard Schooner SoundWaters Kelsey has grown into a full-time Educator and Director of Camp SoundWaters. Being able to watch campers grow their own confidence and gain positive core memories is one of her favorite things about Camp SoundWaters. She greets every camper she meets with a smile and strives to make sure every day for them is more positive then the last.

Katie Boback, Waterfront Manager
Katie has been a part of SoundWaters for two years as a full-time educator and sailing instructor. During the summer she leads the Sharks program as they sail on Long Island Sound. Katie’s favorite part of camp is watching sailors gain confidence on and off the water as they make lasting connections with each other and with their environment.
Certified in: CT Safe Boating, US Sailing Level 1 Sailing Instructor, Red Cross CPR/AED + First Aid, and Waterfront Lifeguard Certified
