SoundGeneration’s Terrapin Takeover

January 23, 2015/in Blog

SoundGeneration, SoundWaters teen action team, put on a very successful event last night at the SoundWaters Center. Numerous high school students from Stamford, Darien, and Greenwich made their way through animal touch tank stations, horseshoe crab feeding stations and the Terrapin Room. Each animal at the touch tank stations had its very own fun fact.

The Terrapin Room showcased the 22 rescued Diamond Back Terrapins that SoundWaters received over a month ago.  Diamond Back Terrapin Fun Fact: The excess salt that terrapins consume in their diet is excreted through special glands in their eye!

SoundGeneration’s Movie Night will be their next event on February 26 from 5:00-8:00 pm sponsored by Arch Street, The Greenwich Teen Center.  Stay tuned for updates on SoundGeneration!
