Bigger Home for the Terrapins

Our terrapins have been growing quickly and have now graduated from their nurseries to larger habitats! Their new habitats have about three times more room to swim, plus a larger basking area for them to rest and soak up light and warmth. To accommodate their larger spaces, they also have twice as many lights (for warmth, health, and the production of essential vitamins), as well as new nighttime heat lamps. The terrapins seem very happy with their new homes! We’ve already seen many happily napping hatchlings on top of their rocks.
