SoundWaters Annual Meeting 2015

November 20, 2015/in Blog

Thanks so much to everyone who joined us Tuesday at the SoundWaters Annual Meeting.  It was a great evening to celebrate SoundWaters.  Scott Mitchell, chair of the Board of Directors kicked off the meeting by saluting outgoing board members Bill Mahone and Lisa Miller for their years of service on the Board of Directors – while they will no longer be on the Board of Directors they will also be a part of SoundWaters.  Scott then introduced the new board members who have joined us over the past year and announced the new slate of board officers. SoundWaters President, Leigh Shemitz, shared the highlights of the past year and the big plans we have for the next year. Our featured speaker Robin Tauck gave a lively and informative talk on the importance of place and introduced all the beautiful Pond, a wonderful book about a mill pond in Westport.  All money raised from the sale of the book will go to support SoundWaters.  For information about the book can be found at https://soundwaters.org/the-beautiful-pond/
