SoundWaters Make A Difference Day – Great Success!

Many thanks to over 200 volunteers who showed up in force at SoundWaters Make a Difference Day on Saturday, May 17 to help clean Cove Island Park coastline and park and participate in activities that encourage stewardship of Long Island Sound. Among the volunteers were 10 Westhill High School football players, as well as students from Stamford High School and AITE. All the student volunteers earned community service hours for their work. Activities included the beach clean-up, canoeing in Holly Pond, a plankton experiment, water quality testing, and looking for horseshoe crabs.
