Spring into Science with SoundWaters!

SoundWaters first official spring field study took place today with a visit from every Hart Magnet Elementary School 3rd grader.

These students conducted hands on STEM experiments to examine horseshoe crab blood and measured the salinity (amount of salt) in several mystery samples to determine where the water came from.

Did you know that the horseshoe crab’s blue, copper based blood is valued by the medical industry for its ability to detect bacterial contamination in medicines and vaccines?

Check back throughout the spring to hear about all the field studies here at SoundWaters
