41° 0’24.73″N, 73°31’14.45″W – Where is that?

March 13, 2018/in Blog

SoundWaters high school interns know that is where you will find our research vessel twice a month.

Our interns head out onto the Sound bi-weekly aboard our 25′ research vessel to collect water and plankton samples. The students analyze the samples to determine plankton abundance and water quality in support of the local shell fishing industry.

This is important work. This is real research. This is a unique learning experience. Students are preparing for success in school, college and beyond.

The SoundGeneration water testing program is made possible in part through funding from the Munzer Family Foundation.
