Camp SoundWaters Spotlight- Meet Hadley!

March 9, 2018/in Blog

Meet Sail Instructor Hadley! Hadley is a Sail Instructor for Camp SoundWaters Stingray Program. Get to know her below!

How many years have you been with SoundWaters?

This will be my fifth summer with SoundWaters. I was a counselor for two years and have been a sailing instructor for 2 years.

What is your favorite part about being a sail instructor?

My favorite part about being a sail instructor is seeing a camper who has never sailed before cruising with confidence across the water at the end of the week.

What is your favorite camp week theme?

My favorite camp week is the Olympics plus week! We break the whole camp up into for teams, make up fun team names and compete in camp wide events. I love seeing the older campers cheer on the younger campers while they’re doing their events.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I love to spend time on the water. It doesn’t matter if it’s a motorboat or a sailboat, just being on the water makes me happy.

Whats your school/major?

I am a legal studies major at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut.

What are your certifications?

I am CPR, First Aid, waterfront lifeguard and US Level 1 sailing instructor certified.

Check back next Friday for the next Counselor Spotlight!
