The crew have been busy for the past several days prepping the green topsides of the schooner SoundWaters. Fortunately the weather is just about perfect to apply the paint.
SoundWaters students perform a population study of local crab species at the rocky shore. Working together gathering data, conducting experiments and having fun outdoors makes for a wonderful day!
The Schooner SoundWaters was hauled out of the water today and the 2013 sailing season has officially ended. This past season over 6,500 people had the opportunity to sail aboard the Schooner SoundWaters. The crew of the schooner SoundWaters down rigged the entire vessel today. The sails were unbent, the gaffs and boom sent a shore, all the lines unreaved, and the blocks struck. All in all not a bad day.
