Center abuzz with repairs and maintenance

The SoundWaters Coastal Center is shored up and ready for a busy fall schedule. Contractors inside and out have replaced the front porch posts and deck, which had rotted from age and water damage; repaired the side porch roof partially destroyed by a falling tree; replaced 11 windows damaged by Sandy’s high winds; and refinished the 19th Century wide-planked yellow pine flooring. We’re building new canoe racks and plans are underway to repair the boat storage shed.
