Cloonan Middle School Sixth Graders Jump Right In!

October 29, 2015/in Blog

Cloonan Middle School Sixth Graders have been visiting SoundWaters this week.   Cloonan came together at SoundWaters to write this blog about how they spent their time on their field trip.

“Hello Everyone! We are Sixth Graders from Cloonan Middle School and we went on our first field trip to SoundWaters. When you go to SoundWaters you rotate between four stations, one of them was canoeing.  Canoeing was amazing! The hardest part was to practice balancing. The canoes can tip easily, so you have to work as a team to keep steady. When we were on the water, we saw a salt marsh that had fiddler crabs. Our favorite part was yelling “iceberg!” When your canoe comes close to another, you yell “iceberg” and put your hands up to alert the other canoe. Some of us would canoe everyday if we could!”

Tomorrow Rogers Middle School will be visiting; stay tuned to read the blog about their experience!
