Enjoy the excitement and wonder of Long Island Sound aboard our 80′ Schooner. Two-hour sunset and afternoon sails are offered all summer long from Stamford, CT. We are grateful to Bernstein Private Wealth Management for generously supporting our 2025 Public Sail season.
Sunset Sails
Wednesday – Sundays
Bring your dinner and your favorite beverage and relax while watching the sun dip below the horizon. Price $45/person. All passengers must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult.
Afternoon Sails
Saturdays and Sundays
Enjoy a brilliant afternoon sail on Long Island Sound. The Price Is $35 for adults and $20 for children (ages 5-12). All passengers must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult.

We welcome you on the Schooner SoundWaters so you can connect to the beauty of Long Island Sound, but let’s face it, sometimes eating and drinking with friends can get in the way of feeling that deep connection. If that’s your experience and you’re looking for more, we created Retreat to the Sound for you. Duration: four hours (approximately 2-3 hours of sailing, with some time ashore before and after).
Launching in the early morning, Retreat to the Sound is your opportunity to block out all the distractions and create a deep connection to the boundless beauty of Long Island Sound. Come alone or with close friends who are seeking a similar experience to enjoy four hours of guided meditations, music, and reflections to contemplate your place and the endless vibrancy of our natural world.

For All Sails:
The Schooner departs ON TIME. We recommend you arrive 20 minutes in advance of your scheduled sail time.
Our crew will be available in the lower parking lot behind the Harbor Center 20 minutes before your sail is scheduled to depart to check you in and issue you a parking pass.
We require a minimum of 8 passengers to sail, and in case of low attendance, passengers will be notified 4 hours before the sail that the sail is canceled and receive a full refund.
All sales are final.
WHAT TO BRING
The boat’s setup is casual, with no seat assignments, and passengers can stand or sit on a bench-style elevation. You are welcome to bring a small picnic-style meal, snacks, soft drinks, water, wine/beer, and no hard liquor, please. Please bring small coolers only, as space is limited on the boat.
Boat shoes, sneakers, comfortable rubber sole shoes – great, no high heels.
There is no special protected space from the sun, so wear a hat and sunblock. On cooler days, an extra layer of clothing is recommended for sunset sails.
*Please be advised that while marijuana is legal in many states, it remains a violation of federal law to possess marijuana or any recreational drug on board a certified passenger-carrying vessel like the Schooner SoundWaters. Please DO NOT have any such substances in your possession when you board our schooner.
