Why HarborFest?

The City of Stamford was founded on its harbor in 1641 and has a rich maritime history in shipping, fishing, swimming and boating.  Today, with the improving water quality of Long Island Sound and Stamford Harbor and the growing public access to the Harbor made possible by new residential and commercial developments, Stamford is on the cusp of a whole new relationship with its harbor and with Long Island Sound.  SoundWaters HarborFest is a celebration of Stamford’s harbor and its vibrant sea shore amenities.

SoundWaters is proud to bring HarborFest to Stamford.  SoundWaters, a Stamford-based non-profit organization founded in 1989, is the premier environmental education organization focused on the protection of Long Island Sound.  SoundWaters teaches over 32,000 children about Long Island Sound every year, on the shore and on its flagship, the schooner, SoundWaters.  SoundWaters believes that teaching young people about the Sound not only builds their skills and interest in science, but also fosters a sense of responsibility for the environment that will guide their actions as they get older.

As you enjoy all the activities at HarborFest, please consider making a donation to SoundWaters to help protect Long Island Sound through education.

Have fun at HarborFest!

HarborFest will take place on the Harbor Point Waterfront in Stamford.

Vendor Village

SoundWaters HarborFest is an event that promotes the beauty, utility, and growing accessibility of the Stamford Harbor. It will feature environmentally friendly activities and health and wellness exhibitors. The goal is to educate people about the ecology of the Harbor, promote environmentally aware healthy lifestyles and showcase activities that protect the Long Island Sound. One of the activities is the Village.

At the SoundWaters HarborFest Village, exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase and sell products and services to their target audience.  We estimate to have 3,000 to 5,000 visitors who will be excited to learn about environmentally friendly and health related local businesses and the many other activities going on at the one day event.  We’d be excited to have your company participate as one of the exhibitors because we think you’re a great fit for the Village and the event in general.

Your cost would be $550 for a 10′ x 10′ exhibitor space.  One 6′ table and two chairs are provided.  Tents and tablecloths are not provided.

The complete overview of SoundWaters HarborFest  can be found below.  Please complete Exhibitor Registration Form (page 5) and return to Tammi Ketler before August 15, 2017 to confirm your participation.  All exhibit space will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
