Just last week, instead of bringing oysters to the classroom, we brought students to the oysters. As part of a semester-long marine science immersion with SoundWaters, students at Stamford’s Westhill High School visited the local oystermen on Stamford Harbor, an experience they won’t forget.

“This was an amazing experience for my students who saw real science in action. Meeting with the oystermen, testing water from the sound, and learning about marine careers was so engaging that my students want to go back for more hands-on learning!”
– Virginia Cipolla, Teacher, Westhill H.S.

When you support SoundWaters you are investing in powerful learning experiences for students. Whether it’s farming oysters or studying micro-plastics, sailing an 80’ schooner or an 8’ sailboat, SoundWaters students discover, learn and grow in ways they will never forget.
