The crew of the schooner SoundWaters picked up a foam “gator” head out of Long Island Sound on this mornings sail with Parkway Elementary school. According to the Sea Grant and NOAA a hard foam object like that could float around for up to 50 years!

Stamford, or should I say STEMFord, hosted the annual STEMFest last weekend. SoundGeneration’s booth contained a live touch tank, water stacking mystery and other fun activities. Afterschool sailing for Stamford middle schools is underway! Did you know that even though the wind may be blowing from one direction, you can make your boat sail in almost any direction?
